"Dr. Tang's book, 'Good Message for Chinese Christianity and Evangelicals,' serves as a wake-up call in this age where 'anything is possible,' reminding Christians how to distinguish truth from falsehood and to understand and uphold the faith of the Gospel."

—Pastor Dai Haohui, Vice President of Lutheran Theological Seminary

"This book encourages Chinese believers to remember the example of Wang Mingdao—to identify wolves in sheep's clothing within the church—and to uphold the full truth of God's word. I highly recommend Dr. Tang Jianlun's book, 'Good Message for Chinese Christianity and Evangelicals.'"

—Pastor Wang Yiping, General Manager of the Hosanna Foundation

If the Chinese church is to reach a sufficient level of maturity to realize its full potential within the universal church, it must become a confessional church. Throughout different periods of church history, written creeds have been a crucial part of maintaining the church's unity. Unfortunately, modern Protestantism—including the Chinese church—has abandoned its creeds. The series of upheavals experienced in China during the 20th century not only hindered the training of sufficient leaders but also prevented it from participating in the process of navigating the conflict between liberal and evangelical theology, as churches in other regions have. In this book, we will examine the influence of some prominent figures in the 20th-century Chinese church, such as Wang Mingdao, Song Shangjie, Watchman Nee, and Jia Yuming, on this development.

This book includes an appendix containing a very important article by Wang Mingdao that led to his imprisonment in 1955. His call for Christians to uphold all the teachings of the Bible remains highly inspiring for believers today.
